Deborah Lippmann, Jessica & OPI Comparisons

Hello :)  I will be showing you a couple of comparisons from Deborah Lippmann Rock This Town vs Jessica & OPI.  I am always afraid to admit that I own dupes so I don't usually do comparison.  Anyway, here we go ...

Bottle comparison - OPI The World is not Enough (Skyfall Collection) vs DL Moon Dance - OPI is more silver than DL which is more purple
2 coats because of the sheer formula, with 1 coat you could see VNL which would distract the comparison in my opinion, no topcoat; the DL turns out to be more sheer, however, on the index finger, I painted heavier than usual & the pink shimmer is just a tad more visible.  Other than that, dead on dupe.
Jessica Pumpkin Delight (latest Fall collection) vs DL Phoenix Rising - Jessica is slightly darker
1 coat no topcoat; Jessica is darker on the nails which pretty much a one-coater, DL needs a 2nd coat to even things out.  Once again, dead on dupe.
I haven't found a dupe for Chain Reaction, the 3rd one from the same DL set, and hopefully I won't.  If you happen to know of a dupe, please do NOT let me know !!  LOL !!!  Now, I ordered the Sugar Plum Fantasy (another glimmer set) which is Bloomingdale's exclusive and was shipped this past Monday.  Hopefully I will get it by the weekend and have them swatched next week.

Lastly, these are my own opinion, do not hold it against me and I can only speak for myself.  I was not paid to do this !!!  I took a lot of photos and in my opinion, these served the purpose.

My giveaway ended so I will be announcing winners tomorrow, the 25th at 6:00pm PST :)

Thank you for dropping by :)

Oh wow I'll say they are all spot on. Seems like lots of dupes this year.

Wow thats such shame to have two identical colours, but hey - blog sale if you need some more $$ for polish? Still, it's great to see the comparison! Great photos Vicky!

Haven't thought about a blog sale and thanks for the idea :) Thx Julz :)

INH tha swatches are lovely but what a bummer about so many dupes! I hate dupes in my collection like the plague! I desperately want the entire sky fall collection though. Oh OPI you slay me! To this day I don't own one Deborah lippman no regrets about it yet lol

I only bought the 'dangerous' skyfall collex and probably not the rest tho ..

I agree that it`s very sad to find the dupes of our favourite nail varnishes but I know that Deborah is always the first)

I`ve followed your blog and will read it with pleasure. I`m from Russia, Moscow. If you want to have a look at my little collection of DL polishes in my blog - you`re welcome :)

Great dupe Spotting! Soon as I saw the swatches for Moon Dance I thought the same thing, OPI World is not enough. Glad to see the comparison, thanks for all the amazing swatches. Seems like Chain Rxn is close to Explosif, from Estee Lauder's Beyond Black collection. which has also been said to be a dead ringer for NOPI For Gold times Sake. But you didn't hear that from me. Deborah Lippmann lacquers are fantastic and I have never regretted a Lippmann Collection purchase.

I don't own any NOPI so I'm good there. I just bought my very first bottle of EL but thanks so much for letting me know. It's true, DL's are fantastic and I don't regret any purchase :) Thx Lorraine :)
