Adventures In Stamping - Some Aspect of Matte

Hello :)  Happy Sunday !!  Today's AIS challenge is Some Aspect of Matte.  After looking at other photos in the FB group, this may not qualify for the challenge after all !!  It seemed most were either using a matte base or a matte topcoat.  But here's what I came up with ... 2 coats of China Glaze Jungle Queen - a dark smokey purple with very subtle purple shimmer, stamping polish is China Glaze Harmony - a purple metallic & plate A60, glossy topcoat then added Kleancolor Madly Matte - a 'matte' topcoat for the dots.  Let's take a look ...
I usually use Essie Matte About You as a matte topcoat which dries rather quickly.  However, this time I used Kleancolor Madly Matte because it takes longer to dry (sometimes it doesn't even dry !!) so I could actually take my time to dot !!  As you can see, some of the dots didn't exactly turn matte, no clue why some stayed glossy - this is why I dislike it.  What do you think?

On the side note regarding my giveaway, I noticed some people entered without actually completing the task.  These entries will be deleted.  If you don't provide your link of where this was shared (which earns you 5 entries) or a wrong link that I couldn't open, these entries will be deleted.  I do check every so often to make sure it is fair for everyone !!

Thank you for dropping by.

Love the purples and the design. My NYC matte topcoat does the same thing doesn't matte up very well.

Texturally this VERY rich Vicky! I'm extremely impressed by this **stealing your idea** :) Um yeah sorry about the Kleancolor Matte topcoat. Honestly I'm an Essie girl myself thought I've also heard great things about butter london's matte topcoat oh and of course manglaze :)

Love the matte dots! I have done "shiny" over matte before but never thought to do matte over "shiny". Totally qualifies as there is SOME aspect of matte :)

This Kleancolor was only for the dots - I wouldn't even use it to mattify any mani !! I don't mind you stealing my idea LOL !! Thx Tamira :)

hehe I know, i have seen shiny over matte but never matte over shiny and these dots look like candle wax. It was actually a pretty fun mani :) Thx Tina :)

I love it - what a brilliant idea!!!!! Oh what a shame about the dots - the Essie is also my favorite, I also have Orly matte but that one dries more to a rubbery finish and I don't use it as often!!!

I love the texture that the matte dots give to your manicure! This looks awesome!
I need to try the Essie matte top coat - I have the NYC one and it's ok but not great.
