Hello :) Today I will be showing you a new brand to me, Kelara Lacquers. It is created by soon to be husband and wife team of Kellen S. and Tara J. All their polishes are 3-free and cruelty free.
A total of 6 shades from various collections was sent for my review and I will show you 3 shades from 2 different collections today. Let's take a look :)
Spoonful from the Home Sweet Chicago Collection ($9.00/0.50 fl oz) - a clear base of various shapes and sizes of multi-colored and holographic glitter; this bottle is packed with glitter; over 2 coats of Essie Cocktail Bling - a dusty blue-grey creme
A coat of Gelous + a coat of topcoat - no issue with formula and application; drying time was quick
Chocolate Wasted from the Double Rainbow Collection ($12.00/0.50 fl oz) - 2 coats - a chocolate brown holo = YUMMY !!!!
Direct sun with NO topcoat
Drying time was not that great - I was able to smudge a nail on my right hand even after an hour
These Go to Eleven from the Double Rainbow Collection ($12.00/0.50 fl oz) - 2 coats - an emerald green holo
Again, direct sun with NO topcoat
The holo effect isn't as strong as Chocolate Wasted but the drying time was quick and no issue with formula/application
ShadeI wore Chocolate Wasted for 1.5 days with NO topcoat and Spoonful for 2 days, no chips at all !! I wanted to see if the topcoat would dull the holo effect on CW, nope it didn't.
You may find Kelara Lacquers on their own website, Etsy and Facebook page here.
Part 2 will be up tomorrow ... Like what you've seen so far?
Thank you for dropping by :)
