Northern Star Polish Spam

**press samples**

Hello :)  Today I have a few new releases by Northern Star Polish to show you.   A little bit about NSP's background - Kristin uses high quality and durable ingredients in her polishes, only uses stainless steel agitator balls, solvent resistant glitters and proper suspension base (Big 4-free:  DBP, Toulene, and Formeldehyde and Formeldehyde-resin free and never diluted with clear top coat.)  She tests all glitter and pigments for months before using them in her products, and all polish designs go through a holding and testing period before they're released for sale.

Northern Star Polish is on Etsy and will re-open on June 28 (Friday) at noon CST for her new and limited releases.  I'm honored to review some of those for you today.  Let's get started and be prepared for a picture heavy post :)
One of the 2 new collections is "You Had Me At Meow" - the 2 shades I'm showing are part of this cat collection.

Purrfection - a bubblegum pink with white shimmer - below photos show 2 coats with a coat of top coat.
Smooth application and perfect formula, drying time was fast  ...  such a gorgeous shade but looks horrid on me :(
White flakies !!  Lots of them !!!
Sleepy Kitty - a pearly shimmery base with white, hot pink, pastel blue, pale green, pastel pink glitter, silver holo sparklies and pink butterflies - over 2 coats of Deborah Lippmann Marnie; followed by a coat of Gelous then a coat of top coat.
Formula was on the thick side but application was fine, drying time was a tad longer than usual.  I had to 'fish' some of the butterflies out though ...
I'm still wearing this = LOVE !!!
Next 3 shades are from the expanded "Paranormal X" line inspired by The X-Files.

Hey, Big Spender - a smoky grey with shimmer that shifts from blue to green to purple plus a mix of white, grey, pale blue and pale green matte glitters - over 2 coats of Orly You're Blushing followed by a coat of Gelous then a coat of top coat.
Formula was really thick so I used a few drops of thinner but was still thick, drying time was much longer than usual.  I used the dabbing method due to the polish thickness, that's why some of my nails don't look smooth in the photos, but they looked totally awesome in real life !!
I wore this for a day and totally loved it being so subtle.  These yellow spots are the flakies without direct lighting.
The Lone Gunmetal - a shimmery dark teal base with aqua, sapphire and gunmetal glitters - 2 coats with a coat of top coat.
Perfect formula and application, drying time was quick.
LOVE the color combo in this one
TRUSTNO1 - a purple base with electric blue flakie glitter - to me this is a blurple and my camera failed to capture the purple side of this shade.  It is just a tad more purple in real life.  Photos show 2 coats with NO top coat.
Perfect formula and application, drying time was normal.
See how glossy by itself?
Next is a limited release from earlier this year and it'll be added to the shop when it re-opens Friday.

Tranquility - a mauve base with pink flecks, plus copper and gold glitters - 3 coats followed by a coat of Gelous and a coat of top coat.
Perfect formula and application, drying time was normal.  (Sorry for the weird hand pose - it's difficult with a mini bottle)
Awesome huh?
This is a cuticle oil sized 9ml/0.3 oz which will be included in all purchases as a small thank you gift.  It is Kristin's own recipe made with olive oil, glycerin, almond oil, grapeseed oil and cosmetic fragrance.  My bottle is Honeysuckle Tangerine which smells pretty good, not strong at all, and is quite moisturizing.  I just started using it last night before bed ...
I honestly enjoyed every single one of these.  Do I need to say more how awesome these are?

Polishes come in 2 sizes:  Petites at 9ml/0.3oz for $6.00 & full size at 15ml/0.5oz for $9.00 a bottle plus shipping.  Here is NSP's etsy shop & Facebook page.  I will update links (updated 6/28)to each shade once they go on sale on Jun 28 at noon CST.

What do you think?  Which one is your favorite?  Thank you for dropping by :)
